Sustainability needs to be proven.

Turn your hotel’s existing operational data into decision-ready evidence that stands up to procurement, platform disclosure, reporting, and audit scrutiny.

Independently verified by

Vague claims and labels are no longer enough.

What matters now is evidence.

Research across more than 6,000 hotels found that certification and self-reporting have little impact on guest perceptions or satisfaction.

That matters because hotels relying on badges and labels for marketing are solving the wrong problem (and wasting time and money doing so) when the real pressure sits elsewhere. Hotels and venues are increasingly being asked to provide sustainability information that can withstand disclosure, financing, procurement, and audit workflows.

In 2025 alone, 270+ major buyers requested environmental data from about 45,000 suppliers, according to CDP, while 640 investors with US$127 trillion in assets asked it to collect environmental disclosure data.

The direction of travel is already clear internationally. In the EU, generic environmental claims such as “eco-friendly” or “green” will be banned in 2026 unless “recognised excellent environmental performance can be demonstrated”.

Many properties already collect the underlying data internally. What they often lack is a credible way to turn it into something external stakeholders can trust, compare and reuse without repeated explanation, reformatting or challenge.

And that’s the gap Tuu is built to fill.

What Tuu does.

Tuu is not a certification scheme or a consultancy service. It is an operational verification system.

Certification usually assesses whether systems, policies or standards are in place. Consultancy usually helps teams improve, prepare or report. Tuu verifies what actually happened during a defined reporting period using primary records and declared boundaries.

Operational data is reviewed against source documents, such as utility bills, invoices, waste logs, procurement records, employment registers, and internal reports, where relevant. Each KPI is checked against supporting evidence to ensure completeness, accuracy, and traceability.

The result is a period-specific Verification Record that shows what was measured, what evidence supports it, and how performance compares within the dataset.

What each verification cycle produces:

  1. Verified record — a period-specific record of scope, verification conclusion and KPI results.

  2. Benchmarking — comparison against comparable hotels and venues within the dataset, providing context that individual properties cannot generate internally.

  3. Performance insight — analysis explaining what is driving performance, where results are stronger or weaker, what that means in practice, and how verified findings can be translated into clear, stakeholder-ready communication.

One system. Three verification tracks.

  • People reviewing blueprints or architectural plans on a table.

    Tuu Verified | Hotels

Twice-yearly operational performance verification for hotels, producing verified records, benchmarking and performance insight for owner reporting, lender review and platform disclosure.

  • A composite image of three different scenes: a luxury villa with a pool and lounge chairs at sunset, a beach with umbrellas and loungers during sunset, and a city skyline with a river at night, overlaid with three circular badges indicating 'Verified Bamboo' by tui for the year 2025.

    Tuu Verified | Events

Quarterly operational sustainability verification for venues and event operators, producing verified records, benchmarking and procurement-ready evidence for tenders, client reporting and due diligence

  • Tuu Verified | ISO 20121

Staged operational data verification for venues, producing clause-mapped records, benchmarking and audit-ready evidence for ISO 20121 workflows.

Verified by HLB International.

Every Tuu Verified record is independently reviewed by HLB International, a global network of advisory and accounting firms operating in more than 150 countries

Each KPI is checked against primary evidence — including utility bills, invoices, logs and records — for completeness, accuracy and traceability.

The same review principles used in financial and ESG contexts are applied here: defined scope, defined period, documented evidence and a clear verification conclusion.

The result is sustainability performance data that stands up to scrutiny: independently reviewed, decision-ready, and structured for reporting, procurement, financing and disclosure.

Is Tuu for you?

Tuu is designed for hotels and venues that already collect sustainability data internally, but need externally credible evidence that can be used with confidence across real workflows.

This means you can…

Respond to procurement and RFP requirements
where sustainability performance is assessed as part of bid evaluation and supplier scoring.

Operate event venues
where sustainability data is reviewed by corporate buyers, agencies and organisers.

Report to owners and asset managers
and need verified operational performance for portfolio reporting, financing and risk decisions.

Work with OTAs and distribution partners
that increasingly request, display or rely on comparable, defensible sustainability data.

Prepare for regulatory, disclosure or audit scrutiny
including ISO 20121 and related requirements, where evidence and consistency matter.

Talk to us about verification.

If you’re responding to owner scrutiny, procurement requirements or audit pressure, Tuu provides independently verified, benchmarked evidence that external stakeholders can rely on.

Get in touch and we’ll help you understand which Tuu Verified track fits your needs, what verification would look like in practice, and how the outputs can be used across your reporting and stakeholder workflows.
